The Anointing for Breakthrough

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. –Isaiah 10:27

Most people today including Christians are walking very short of their full potential of who God has called them to be. Much of this is because there are areas in which the believer has not been able to get victory over. Many times the person has read many good books, been to many good conferences, talked with many counsellors but still not able to overcome.

A person in this situation needs desperately to find a church or a minister who carries a strong anointing. When defeated man comes into contact with a powerful and Holy God, major transformation can happen. An anointed man or women of God will carry with them the anointing and power of God. The tangible presence of God alone is able to shake a person to the very core of their being and cause oneself to see, feel, understand, and sense things entirely different. In addition evil spirits will most likely flee and the person will be able to think with clarity like possibly they never have before.

Let us read the story of Paul and Silas in Acts chapter 16: 23 – 26

And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: having received such a charge, cast them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them;

and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison-house were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Consider the following points about this story:

1. Paul and Silas were in a prison. They were bound and chained. There was nothing they could do in the natural to change their circumstances. They could not break themselves free.

2. Paul and Silas prayed and worshiped God. Prayer and worship will cause the presence of God to come and for the Holy Spirit to manifest. As uninterrupted worship continues, the intensity of God’s prescence thickens and the anointing of God will come in a powerful way.

3. When the anointing and presence of God reaches a certain point, miracles will take place and breakthrough will happen. Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped God until the breakthrough came. Let’s read again what happened

Acts 16:26:  and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison-house were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

The anointing of God is able to break you free from whatever is holding you back from reaching your destiny in God! As we pray and worship God, the presence of God will come, and, if we continue, the anointing for breakthrough will come and those chains that are holding your loved ones back can be broken!

The anointing for breakthrough is available for every believer! Jesus said these signs will follow them that simply believe, in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17,18)

I pray for the anointing for breakthrough to come upon your life! If you are in an emotional or spiritual prison just pray and worship God. Do it for several hours at a time if you can.  God is exceedingly and abundantly to do more than we can ever ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)

Benny Conference in London

James and Heidi will be heading for a wonderful time of refreshing, renewing, visiting friends and more to London England on October 1 – 6! James and Heidi will attend the Benny Hinn fire conferences at the Excel Exhibition Center and then the Saturday Miracle crusade as well. James and Heidi went to the Benny Hinn meetings in Stuttgardt, Germany in May of last year and were touched powerfully in those meetings!

After the Benny Hinn meetings James and Heidi will spend some time with friends, visit their church and doing a little sightseeing. It will be a great time for James and Heidi, especially for James because he can speak all the English he wants to and fit right in!

Glory Gatherings

Later this year we are planning to have at least one Glory Gathering. Our goal is to offer these on a monthly basis. The plan is to have nonstop praise, worship, and prayer for 12 hours on a Saturday from 9am to 9pm. We would rent a public facility that could hold at least one hundred people and believe for a great day of seeing the heavens opened and the glory of God manifesting.

Mission Trip to India

James has been invited to preach in India by a wonderful man of God, an Apostle who oversees 30 churches. James would like to be able to go shortly after arriving back from the London trip so he can take the fire and spread it to India! In addition James will be visiting the homeless children living in the slums and investigating the possibility of founding an orphanage. The Anointing Part V

The Anointing is The Power of God

The most reliable and trusted authority I know of on the subject of the Anointing besides God and His word is none other than Benny Hinn – great man of God who moves powerfully in the anointing and the Holy Spirit. His knowledge of the Holy Spirit and the anointing never ceases to amaze me. His thorough knowledge of the scriptures and what the bible has to say about these things as well as his amazing testimonies and encounters with God are astounding.

Benny Hinn is one person who knows about the anointing, and he defines the anointing as simply the power of God. He uses the terms interchangeably, anointing, and power of God. And so when talk about the anointing, we are at the same time talking about the power of God.

To understand the anointing then it would be helpful to understand the power of God.  Let us examine some of the scriptures about what it is has to say about the power of God.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

What do you receive after the Holy Ghost comes upon you? What should you do after this comes upon you?

Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Who did Jesus give power to?

Why did he give them this power?

Are you one of Jesus’ disciples?

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

How much power is given to Jesus?

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

What did Jesus give the disciples power over?

Luke 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

What was with Jesus’ word?

Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

What were the disciples supposed to wait for?

Where did this power come from?

Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Where does power come from?

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

What was Stephen full of?

What did he do with what he was full of?

Acts 8:18 – 20 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

How much money does it cost in order to receiver the power of healing?

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

What does the power of God lead to?

1Corinth. 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

What should preaching demonstrate?

I Corinth. 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

What should your faith stand in?

1Corinth. 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

What is the kingdom of God in?

1Corinth. 6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

How will we be raised up?

2 Corinth. 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

How is the power described here?

Phillipians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

What about Jesus’ resurrection should we know about?

1Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

What comes along with the gospel?

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

God has given us a Spirit of love, sound mind and what else?

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

What are we to do with those that deny the power of God?

“…Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.”

The Anointing Part IV

The Anointing Teaches

As we continue our study on the subject of the anointing we cover the idea that the anointing teaches us. Let us read:

John 2:27:
As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him

The first point I want to make is this: the anointing abides in you. To abide means to live or dwell in, which does not mean to visit temporarily. Yes the anointing abides in you, if in fact you have received it from Him. The anointing takes up residence inside you and is waiting to be released at any given moment. It does not come and then manifest itself but rather is already inside you, living and dwelling and waiting to manifest from inside you.

The second point I want to make is this, you don’t need man to teach you what the anointing can teach you. Look at the passage again, doesn’t it say that you have no need for anyone to teach you.

…you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things…

Is it good to have a spiritual father or mother or pastor? Yes, it is good. But no one can fulfill even half of what the Holy Spirit will fulfill for you in your life. The other point is that there is a great shortage of willing and able spiritual fathers and mothers, those are willing to love and take time for their spiritual sons and daughters and not merely try to rule them and govern them with virtually no relationship whatsoever. There has been enough of that and I believe that God himself is grieved of the never ending effort for men to control and rule but not love and equip.

And so the anointing will teach you when nobody else will. How much will it teach you? The scripture says all things. There is nothing that is being taught in a bible college that can not be learned directly from the Holy Spirit Himself – NOTHING.

The last thing I want to mention is the last part of this verse, notice what it says:

…just as it has taught you, you abide in Him

If you want to learn directly from the anointing then you must abide in Him. You must live and dwell in Him and He must live and dwell in you. There is no other way that will you have the kind of relationship where the anointing is teaching you, leading you and guiding you.

Lastly, as you read the passage below spoken by Jesus in the gospel of John, consider that one of the things that fruit can be referring to (not only but including) is knowledge, understanding and revelation.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
- John 15:4, 5

The Anointing Part III

Anointing Is A Sign of Favor

As we continue our series on the subject of the anointing. The next concept we will cover is the concept that anointing is linked with favor.

Let us examine the following scripture:

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  – Hebrews 11:6

The scripture here says that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. One of those rewards is the anointing. You see, God does not just throw the anointing around like candy. Remember the anointing of God is not the same as the love of God. The love of God is unconditional meaning there is nothing you can do to lose the love of God – nothing. The anointing however can be lost, (it can be regained as well).

There is a price to pay to acquire the anointing and there is a price to pay to keep the anointing. There are many preachers who preach today with no or very little anointing. It is because they have not paid the price. What is the price? The price is absolute and complete surrender. It is dying to one’s self. The price is spending lots and lots of time in God’s presence and in His word. Let us look at the scripture again:

…He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Notice it says He is a rewarder of those that DILIGENTLY seek him. It doesn’t say that He is a rewarder of those that casually seek Him, but diligently seek him. Synonyms for diligent are: eager, persistent, earnest, and steadfast. Notice this scripture:

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. – James 5:16

Notice it does not say the casual, apathetic prayer of a righteous man avails much. When you seek God’s face (II Chronicles 7:14) there is a reward. One of those rewards is the anointing. When someone is being rewarded or blessed by God, it is a sign that God is pleased with that person. It is a sign that that person is walking in the favor of God. The anointing is a sign of the favor of God on someone’s life. And believe me, when God’s powerful anointing comes upon your life, what a reward it is!

I have had apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists all recognize the anointing on my life. Many have acknowledged that there is a special anointing of God that rests upon me. So when I talk about anointing, I am talking about something I know about. One thing I know is that the anointing comes with a price. There is a price to pay to acquire the anointing and there is a price to keep it. But when the anointing of God rests upon a man or woman of God you can be sure they paid a price to get it and they are paying a price to keep it.

If you want the anointing of God on your life in such a way that it can be felt and sensed by others then I have a word for you – trade. Trade some of the hours you are spending on other things with time in God’s presence and in His word. Seek God with all your heart and ask him to increase the measure of anointing upon your life. Jesus said if you ask the Father anything in His name He will give to you.

The Anointing Part II

 

The Touch of Jesus

Matthew 9:20 – 22
And behold, a woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: for she said within herself, If I do but touch his garment, I shall be made whole. But Jesus turning and seeing her said, Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

There are several points I want to make about this passage

The woman never touched Jesus. She touched something that was touching Jesus. The Anointing is a transferable substance that manifests in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The anointing is a substance that can be felt, given and received. The Greek word aleipho, is one translation of the word which means actually means oil. Oil is a very smooth and slippery substance that glides easily from point to another. Warm oil is very pleasant and soothing. The anointing manifests as the presence of God manifests.

Demons are scared and run when they begin to sense the tangible presence of God. In the case of the woman with the issue of blood the spirit of infirmity and sickness and disease fled and she was instantly healed of a 12-year sickness.

“And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.”

- 1Samuel 16:23

The Holy Spirit is an actual living being who occupies space. As the presence of the Holy Spirit increases so does the anointing. Within minutes the atmosphere of a room can change as the Holy Spirit begins to manifests. As the Holy Spirit manifests his presence begins to be felt and the anointing, or the power of God comes along with it.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Holy Spirit is drawn to worship. As we invite the Holy Spirit into our home and into our hearts He will always take us up on our offer and his presence will begin to invade the room. The tangible presence of God will manifests and evil spirits will begin to fear and run. The bible says “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”  – John 12:32.

Pray and Ask the Holy Spirit to invade your home right now. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself in a greater way than you have ever experienced before.

The Anointing Part I

It was May 17, 2008. The location was Schleyerhalle, Stuttgardt, Germany. There I was standing on the same stage of Benny Hinn and his ministry team. He had just called for all pastors and preachers to come for an impartation. Hundreds had ran to the stage waiting in que just to receive a touch by this man of God, Benny Hinn. I was able to squeeze through the crowd and find a good position. I waited and waited. Pastor Benny was imparting four at a time. Two on one side and then two on the other. People were dropping like flies from the power of God and then being picked right back up.

I have received impartations by Rodney Howard-Browne, Todd Bentley, David Tomberlin, and other not so well known preachers who were also very anointed. All these were very special and very powerful. But I can honestly say that I have never before nor since ever felt such a powerful prescence of God as I felt standing there on that stage with Benny Hinn in Stuttgardt, Germany, May 17 2008.

Prior to that conference my wife and I had been through a some difficult season here in Finland. We had a few dissappointments, as well as having a child and one on the way which were a blessing but nonetheless more responsibility, more demands, more change and adjustment. In addition we were seeking God for direction for the next season in our life. It was a bit of a dry season and we had been very much looking forward to the Benny Hinn Crusade. I had never before been to any of his meetings but God was using him to bring me deeper and closer to Him. I had read “Good Morning Holy Spirit”, as well as “The Anointing.” Those two books gave me deeper revelation of the Holy Spirit and The Anointing.

And so after waiting my turn, there I was standing on the very same stage of Benny Hinn. I looked out and there I saw thousands of people. I stood there, barely able to stand. The power of God was so strong. The prescence of God was so strong. The anointing was so strong. I had never felt such a strong anointing in my entire life. I had been in many anointed services before but nothing like this. The closest thing I could compare to was when I was in Toronto in the fall of 2004. There was definitely a strong prescence of the Lord there. But this, this was something else, it was different.

Then it happened, the ushers took me forward with another person to Pastor Benny Hinn. Two more people on the other side fell down under the power of God and then he turned and walked over to us. He put his hands on our heads and said something (I don’t remember what he said) and the power of God knocked us to the ground. There was no courtesy dropping going on here. It hit me like a Mack truck.

Like I said before, I have felt and experienced the power of God many times before for many years before, but this was something else. It was strong that I could feel it even before I walked on the stage. It was like a fire and the closer you got to it the hotter it got.

Since that day God has begun opening doors and giving us new vision and passion. God has given our ministry a new name with Kingdom Glory Ministries. We have purchased a complete sound system that we plan to use for outreaches. God has blessed us with a new website, new friends and new ministry contacts. God has done a deeper work in our hearts and continues to prepare us the coming might outpouring of His Spirit. To God be the Glory!

There is something that when you get into the glory of God, you realize that everything else you were trying to do was just preparation. The breakthrough comes when the anointing comes. Without it there is no breakthrough. I decided something ever since that day. I will commit the rest of my life to the anointing, the power, and the glory of God.

Report on the David Tomberiln Finland/Estonia Tour

I (James Robor) recently had the priviledge of organizing a tour with David Tomberlin here in Finland and also in Talinn, Estonia. Every night peoples lives were touched! We saw the lost saved, the sick healed and the captive set free!

I had the priviledge of traveling with David and it is an experience I will never forget! David is a fun guy with a great sense of humor! I learned a lot talking with David and just observing. I can say it was a great learning experience. David spoke into my life on a few occasions and challenged me! He encouraged me not to settle for less and to press in, be willing to take risks and trust in God. He said also that for anything great there is a great price to pay.

Thank you David for all that you sowed into myself and the people of Finland and Estonia. We are believing for a great harvest to come to Finland and Estonia from the seed you have sown and we pray you will yourself reap a great harvest in your own life and ministry!
